Gadfly

As a concise summary of Gadfly:
It's a scout, and it's bombing your back agri. Quick, chase it in your battleship!

Chris tried netrek a long time ago, back when netrek was new and the Canada to US Internet link was even newer, but playing by TCP over a congested 128Kbits/sec link soon sent him back to MUDs. Right at the start of 1992 he discovered the local netrek server and started playing as Bumbler, branched out over the improved link, and started playing with keymaps just in time to map + to something unimportant as the first UDP clients became available. Not knowing how to recover from this, he started Gadfly with a clean keymap and a dedication to light ships.

He started his INL career by founding The Commanders in the summer of 1992, mostly because he sent mail too late to be in Twelve Angry Men. From there he went on to join The Team With No Name until it dissolved, play in some unmemorable team in the summer of 1993, and play with Testudo until the summer of 1994, when he decided to join the Draft League instead and has wound up on the Dragon Troop. In his INL career he has consistently captured one of the top places in the total planets and armies bombed count, while also capturing one of the top places in the actual carriers created count.
