University Bureaucracy or
The Biannual Reorganization
I've been in this job since 1990.
In that time I've been through two reorganizations; the first delayed my
formal hiring into a full-time position by a year and the second turned
us from UTCS (University of Toronto Computing Services) into part of
Technical Support, a bit of Computing And Communications. Now they've
decided they don't want UTCC as a single organization with a VP to call
its own
and are going to split us up again. Somehow. Sometime.
I wonder what the few machines in utcc.utoronto.ca will be renamed
to;
I'm certainly glad I didn't rename this machine into
there.
